My name is Rachel and I have my own musical company called Music Minors. Today we are joined by my daughter Matilda. We are going to be learning all about making your own instrument. Everything you will need to make the instruments are things that you can find at home. Have fun joining in with the music and playing along to the beat once you’ve made your instruments.

Sarah Parkinson

My name is Sarah Parkinson and I am a Children's author and illustrator. Today I will be sharing my new story 'Noisy Nora.' This is a lovely rhyming tale, teaching children to be themselves, celebrate who they are, to be kind, and also the importance of accepting the differences of others. Join me today for some fun, creative and noisy activities!

Sarah Griffiths

My name is Sarah and I am the Creative Learning Director at EYFS Home. I am also a children’s author. Today we are going to be celebrating Australia Day. Australia Day is held on 26th January and celebrates the first British ships arrival in New South Wales in 1788 and the first claim of sovereignty. We will be making our own Australian flag and learning some fun facts. We will be getting creative and making our own aboriginal art with a kangaroo theme. There will be a chance to make some tasty Australian treats and we will finish the day with an old Aboriginal legend.

Becky Frew

Becky is a singer and dancer from Scotland. Today, she's here with her happy helper Nicole. They will share some Scottish wisdom with us all for Burns Day. We'll learn about and celebrate the life of poet Robert Burns.

Freya and Lois

Join Lois and Freya for a fun day learning about how to look after the environment! We are going to be looking at the four R’s:

Repair

We will be learning about how we use these words to help us to care for our precious environment.

Jude Lennon

Hello children, I'm Jude and I'm an author and storyteller. Lamby and Flossie are my storytelling mascots with Little Lamb Tales. Today is Appreciate a Dragon Day and we are so excited. We are looking forward to playing some games, thinking about dragons, making dragon poems and doing some dragon maths. It will be so much fun.

Sue Wickstead

Sue Wickstead is a children’s author and writes children’s picture books. Sue was once involved with a playbus play project, which is the inspiration behind many of her picture books. Sue’s stories always have a bus featured somewhere in the story.

Sarah Griffiths

Sarah introduces the day with the activities that will be coming up - healthy eating poetry, making healthy food, playing a food guessing game and sharing our favourite foods (and seeing how healthy they are!)

Jack Maunder, Sarah Griffiths, Sarah Pretty

Welcome to our ‘Bounce Back Jack’ activity takeover day. My name is Sarah and I am the creative learning director here at EYFSHome. I am a children’s author and a teacher. Today we are delighted to be joined by Jack Maunder, premiership rugby union player for Exeter Chiefs. Jack and I have written a story together all about bouncing back when things go wrong. First, Jack will be reading the story with some of his teammates. Jack will be teaching us all about the importance of daily routines, exercise and how to keep fit. There is a special interview with Jack, where he shares the importance of resilience at any age and gives us an insight into how he bounces back when times are tough.

Hi everyone, my name is Georgie and I am a dancer. Today we are having a fun filled day learning about shapes! We will be learning all about 2D and 3D shapes and how easily we can identify them in our everyday life. The only things we will need for today are basic arts and crafts materials, and packaging/household items for junk modelling.
