Christmas Craft Day

My name is Sarah and I am a children’s author. I am excited to be with you today to share some fun creative crafts to make for Christmas. First, we will be making paper chains to hang around our house. Next, we will be making some pretty snowflakes to make a Christmas window display. Then, we will be making some Christmas crowns that we can wear for Christmas Day. Finally, we will finish our activity day by making a special Rudolph hanging decoration for our Christmas tree.

Paper Chains

Let’s get creative and make some colourful paper chains to hang around our room to celebrate Christmas time.

This activity supports children’s knowledge and understanding of Christmas customs. It supports children’s building of fine motor skills and it is also a great way to teach children about different colours.

Snowflakes

Let’s make a wintry themed window out of paper snowflakes.

This activity supports children’s knowledge and understanding of Christmas customs. It supports children’s building of fine motor skills and it is also a great way to teach children about different colours.

Christmas Crowns

Let’s celebrate this time of year by making our very own Christmas Crowns.

Make some beautiful Christmas Crowns together with your child. This activity supports children’s understanding of Christmas customs. It also supports children’s cutting skills, plus shape recognition and language and communication linked to shapes, colours and celebrating at Christmas.

Rudolph Decoration

Let’s make our own Rudolph decoration to hang on our Christmas tree.

This is a lovely activity to do together with your child. Help them draw around their hand and follow the instructions together to make your decoration. You can use card, felt tip pens, tinsel, glitter or whatever shiny materials you have in the house. This activity teaches children about traditional characters related to Christmas time and develops their understanding of Christmas customs. It also develops their cutting skills too.
